Join us at Electric Arcadia Saturday, 11/1/25, from 2pm to 6pm for our Día de los Muertos Celebration.
We will gather at 2pm, and the opening ceremony will begin at 2:15pm with bells and Stephanie leading us in scattering marigolds to invite ancestors. (If you arrive during the opening, quietly join or pause.)
Our circle includes Brooks Egerton, Stephanie Colchado Kelley, Lana Matthews Sain, Charlie McClain, Mairyn McGilvray, Jim Whiteside and Linda Heck sharing readings, music and memories.
Update: We’ve added Christina Ulibarri, Daniel Hull and Tom Gildemeister to our circle!
The opening of ceremony will begin at 2:15pm, with lighting of candles, tolling bells and Stephanie leading us in scattering marigold petals to invite ancestors. (If you arrive during the opening, quietly join or pause.)
Bring mementos of loved ones to contribute to our collaborative Día de Muertos ofrenda!  These can be photos or objects. There will be collaging supplies available to make your own memento.
We also welcome voice memos or videos with audio for an improvised sonic ofrenda by Charlie and Linda.
Weather permitting, we will be outdoors and under cover adjacent to the studio and forest.
Saturday’s weather promises to be sunny, although  you might need a sweater!
We’ll serve light refreshments, including traditional menudo.
BYO beverage.
 Event is free.
We will be collecting monetary donations for the Grundy County Foodbank.
There is street parking- please contact us if you need assistance with closer access.
